Rachel Schwenk, OT\L

Rachel is an occupational therapist who has worked for the past decade with the neurological population. She has a passion for this population and helping them to live life to the fullest. Rachel received an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University A&M in 2006 and a Masters' in Occupational Therapy from LSUHSC New Orleans in 2009. She has presented at professional conferences AOTA (2010) and the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals (2013). She was selected the Distinguished Alumnus and keynote speaker for the LSUHSC-NO OT program in 2018. Rachel has worked with Touro Rehabilitation Center across the spectrum of care for individuals with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke. She also did travel occupational therapy in Colorado, Oregon, and California 2015-2016. She is a board member with Split Second Foundation. Rachel is committed to working tirelessly to instill dignity and enable access to the community for all people across the spectrum of abilities. |
