Matthew Willard is the Louisiana State Representative for District 97 which includes the Gentilly, Mid-City and Bayou St. John neighborhoods in New Orleans. He serves on the Ways and Means, Insurance and Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs committees in the House of Representatives. He also serves on the Joint Capital Outlay Committee in the Louisiana Legislature. Matthew is a graduate of Jesuit High School and the University of New Orleans. Matthew is a Senior Manager at Fluence Analytics, a technology startup based in New Orleans. With innovative strategies and strong interpersonal skills, Matthew guides the company’s overall marketing direction and manages business development initiatives and communication policies. Most notably, Matthew led the successful public relations campaign following the company’s Series A and A-1 venture capital funding rounds. He also spearheaded a comprehensive company rebrand in 2017. In 2018 he received the certification of Scrum Master and helped implement and lead an agile, companywide project management framework. He was honored by Gambit New Orleans in 2019 as a 40 Under 40 leader in New Orleans. Matthew is as an elected member of Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee for City Council District D. He also serves as the Treasurer for the Gentilly Economic Development District and is a parishioner of St. Raymond / St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. |
