“As Bastion continues to grow and expand our reach, we are working to add even more programs and resources to assist veterans,” said Dylan Tête, founder and executive director of Bastion. “With support from organizations like Bob Woodruff Foundation, we can more effectively meet the needs of this population. We cannot thank BWF enough for its generous donation and for their ongoing support."
Set in New Orleans’ Gentilly neighborhood, Bastion serves as a home and hub for supportive services for returning warriors and their families who require ongoing support. The Bastion approach restores families, reduces stress at home and expands social networks to strengthen resilience for our nation’s warriors. As a result of this grant, Bastion has developed a partnership with Spero Rehab, a neuro rehabilitation outpatient clinic based in Katy, TX with locations in San Antonio and Austin. “BWF has a rigorous grant process and we take pride in our charitable investments,” said Anne Marie Dougherty, executive director of Bob Woodruff Foundation “We are excited to invest in Bastion’s efforts and look forward to watching this organization progress.” BWF leverages its expertise and collaborative network to find, fund and shape innovative programs that help impacted veterans, service members and their families thrive. As a nonpartisan leader in the military-veteran community, the Bob Woodruff Foundation brings transparency and credibility to its partners and complements their efforts.
